My Superman

Your kryptonite is your children. They talk back to you, sometimes take you for granted, and rarely give you those back massages after working for 24 hours straight. Yet, much to your wife’s and your children’s amazement, you still love your children and will give up anything ANYTHING for their well-being. In front of them, you’re incapable of thinking about anything else but them. You never raised your hand on the four of them and were sincerely upset when your wife did. You taught them everything they need to know about life: that success and money mean nothing when you’re not a good person and that education is the most important thing you’ll ever receive. I love how all your nieces and nephews are enthralled by you because simply put you’re the funniest man they know.

I aspire to become more like you. You are my source of inspiration. You taught me that generosity, honor, patience, and honesty aren’t words found in a dictionary. They become real to a person when they encompass those values in his life.

You’re a hard worker. You’re a son. You’re a brother. You’re an uncle. You’re a husband. You’re MY father.

Superman ain’t got nothing on you.
